Students, faculty, staff, and select alumni are eligible to use Microsoft Office 365 at no cost, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, plus additional classroom tools. Office 365 can be accessed either via the web or by downloading applications to home or work computers.

Overview

Office 365 is a subscription-based service that provides multiple options for accessing the newest versions of Microsoft Office applications. University of Maryland Global Campus provides this service at no cost to active students, faculty, staff, and select alumni (Access to features varies by role. See Features below.). Office 365 includes cloud-based Office apps, a downloadable version of the Office 365 suite for Windows and Mac computers, and mobile apps for smartphones and tablets.

Access Office 365

Office 365 can be used online using a web browser, tablet or smartphone, or by downloading the Office suite to a Windows or Mac computer (downloading the software is only available for current students, faculty and staff).
To access Office online, log in at https://login.microsoftonline.com/?whr=umgc.edu.
Note: Use your University email address to log in. Your email address is your username + @student.umgc.edu (Ex: hsolo2@student.umgc.edu).
Activation key for matlab r2018b. Instructions for downloading Office 365 are available for Windows and Mac computers.
A note about the online and mobile versions of Office 365:

  • The Office online apps are lightweight versions of the desktop applications and provide robust, but reduced, functionality than the desktop application versions.
  • The Office mobile apps provide less functionality but are optimized for mobile devices. You can download the Office mobile applications from your device's app store.
