Francis Mallmann (born 1956) is an Argentine celebrity chef, author, and restaurateur who specializes in Argentine cuisine, and especially in Patagonian cuisine with a focus on various Patagonian methods of barbecuing food. He has been featured on numerous international television programmes, as well as on the Netflix original series Chef's Table.

Chef

I've been watching the Netflix series Chef's Table and am impressed by the stories it tells of the featured chefs. I highly recommend not just to foodie types, but to those who like a good story and appreciate seeing highly creative people at their peak. There is a real artistry to the food they prepare and they all have found contentment and freedom within their art.

Rosalia Chay Chuc. The critically acclaimed cooking series Chef’s Table returns for a smoky, pit-fired selection of barbecue goodness. With four chapters to choose from, the series skips across to different regions across the world. Along the way the show uncovers some of the more prolific faces in the barbecuing community and pays homage to their journeys to stardom. #FORMAT: BEACON #TARGET: #PREFIX: #TIMESTAMP: 2012-11-16T10:19:31UTC 45231631 Actinium 119317079 AngLee.

I've also been impressed by the quality of the soundtrack. I truly believe that music and all other creative endeavors go hand-in-hand. Music facilitates and nurtures the creative mind. It is a centering art within which all other creative forms derive sustenance and greater voice and intensity.

For me, there are a number of musical styles and musicians who enable and in some ways ennoble my modest attempts at art through writing. They fade in and out in terms of their effect and what works for one story may not work for another.

Vivaldi's Menu

The latest lubricant to my sometimes facile creative mind is Max Richter's version of Vivaldi's four seasons, which figures prominently in Chef's Table. I've included a YouTube version below, but I imagine you can find it on Spotify, RDIO, Pandora or any of the other online music outlets. Give it a listen and play it loud.
